Artist's Interpretation: This weave serves as a reminder of the meaning of Matariki, the importance of passing on Mātauranga (knowledge) and tikanga (traditions). It symbolizes a time to come together and strengthen communities, to remember those who have passed, and to look forward to the future with aspirations and goals. Matariki is a time to celebrate, remember, and prepare, honoring our tūpuna and all the gifts they bestowed upon us.
